Happy Spring! Yesterday I enjoyed some relaxing and restorative time in the gardens. I have always preferred to spend time outside and do so whenever I can. My love of plants and animals preceded my experiences with Reiki. So, when my first Reiki teacher told our class she “Reikis” her plants, I knew that I would do the same! That was how I began to experiment with using Reiki in the gardens and with my plants in pots. I have found that I feel a greater connection to nature since becoming attuned to Reiki and that has been a great gift.
I enjoy giving Reiki to my plants and trees with my hands. I tend to know when I have spent enough time and then I move on to the next plant. It is an uplifting and calming process. I always use Reiki when pruning, planting, transplanting or when a plant is not looking healthy. I have noticed since using Reiki, that my plants tend to exhibit signs of shock less often. I also treat the fertilizer that I use with Reiki before applying it to the soil. I have been using Reiki with our avocado and orange trees for several years and they are rewarding my family with more fruit than ever before!
Sharing Reiki with my plants is a symbiotic process. The time and effort that I spend with my plants are paid back many times over by the happiness that they bring through their beauty and bounty.
